Case Study: Solent Mind

At Charisma Charity Recruitment, one of our core values is to always put people first. That's why we were delighted to work with Solent Mind, a charity that shares this same ethos and works to improve the lives of those affected by mental health issues in the Solent area.

At Charisma Charity Recruitment, one of our core values is to always put people first. That's why we were delighted to work with Solent Mind, a charity that shares this same ethos and works to improve the lives of those affected by mental health issues in the Solent area.

Our partnership with Solent Mind continued when they approached us to help them recruit a new Chief Executive Officer at the start of 2022. As an experienced charity recruitment consultancy, we were well-versed in finding candidates who possess the right skills and experience for the job.

However, we knew that finding someone for this particular role would require a candidate who had more than just governance, audit & risk, change management, business development, campaigning and digital services experience. We needed someone who had a genuine passion for mental health issues and an empathy for the work of the charity.

We undertook a comprehensive recruitment process which included advertising the position widely and conducting thorough interviews with potential candidates. After careful consideration, we presented Solent Mind's board with a shortlist of highly suitable candidates who met all their requirements.

The successful candidate started working at Solent Mind in June 2022 and has already made an incredible impact in her short time there. We're proud to have played a part in helping Solent Mind find their newest leader.

But our partnership didn't end there - later in 2022, we also worked with Solent Mind to recruit a Development Director. This was another important role that required a candidate with not only extensive experience but also a deep commitment and understanding of mental health issues. We're pleased to have helped Solent Mind find such an individual.

Working with Solent Mind has been both rewarding and inspiring. It's clear that everyone involved in this charity is committed to making real positive changes for those living with mental health issues. We're proud to have played our part in helping them achieve their goals.

In recognition of our trustee, CEO and director level appointments, Solent Mind said:
