We are working in partnership with Oarsome Chance, a charity passionate about supporting young people who are disengaged from mainstream education and are at risk of exclusion and suffering disadvantage. Since October 2015, the charity has developed a wealth of experience and have a successful track record of supporting young people that has seen their reputation grow amongst the local community and funders.

The charity is now seeking a Chair of Trustees to support the organisation in its next chapter. Oarsome Chance are in exciting phase of development, with a strategic review underway and new Chief Executive joining in August 2021.There are ambitious plans for the future and, as such, we are seeking a motivated and driven individual as the Chair.

As Chair of Trustees for you will work in partnership with the Board and CEO to define and steer the governance and strategy of the charity and be able to provide support and challenge in equal measure.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Significant leadership experience

  • Experience of being a brand ambassador

  • A commercial approach with experience of developing strategy in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on impact

  • Ability and drive to support and enhance the fundraising efforts of the organisation

This unremunerated role is open to all who meet the essential criteria.
