Penrose Options is a charitable subsidiary of the Social Interest Group, which is an organisation that works in partnership with third sector organisations and social enterprises to deliver high quality support, health and social care. Penrose Options seeks to strengthen their Board with the appointment of a Trustee. Penrose works with some of the most vulnerable people in our communities by providing practical support, health care and support interventions that have a positive and lasting impact. They work with adults who struggle with mental illness, substance misuse, and offending backgrounds. They also provide very specialist rehabilitation, technical and therapeutic support that aids recovery, reduces offending or changes behaviour. The principal responsibilities of the Trustees will include:
- Promote and develop the charity through good governance and robust systems
- Maintain sound financial management and control of charity resources
- Contribute to the growth and fundraising strategy
- Determine the overall direction of the charity
- Act as an ambassador for the charity and the Group
The successful candidates should have an understanding of the charity, not-for-profit, or public sectors and will have experience and knowledge in mental health, social care, substance misuse, or criminal justice system. Applications from candidates with experience as a service user or carer will also be welcomed.
