Charity Administrator - Green and Slater Rest Houses

We are working in partnership with Dr Green and Slater Rest Houses to find the next Charity Administrator for their 24 flats in Stockport. The scheme provides sheltered accommodation for older people who can live independently. Eligibility criteria are that the potential resident will be living within 5 miles of Stockport Town Hall for 10 years immediately preceding their application. Applications are processed by the trustees and the selection of suitable applicants is based on criteria of financial, medical, and social need.

To provide administration and logistical support to ensure the smooth and professional operations of Green and Slater Rest Houses. To provide high quality administrative support to the staff and Board of Trustees to enable compliance with legal and financial responsibilities and effective service delivery.

This is a significant and rewarding role that will require the post holder to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of providing administrative support to a high standard

  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft office and excel

  • A positive approach to working both on own and as part of a team

  • Very well organised and able to prioritise and plan own work and meet deadlines

  • Experience of financial budgeting

The successful candidate will be a proactive and a positive individual. You will have high attention to detail and not be afraid to take ownership of issues and work to a resolution. You will have excellent verbal and written communication and due to the varied nature of the role, you will have a flexible approach with the ability to prioritise and plan ahead ensuring that the welfare and wellbeing of the residents is at the forefront of all your work.
