We are working in partnership with Carers Trust Heart of England, who are seeking a new Chief Executive following the retirement of the existing postholder. The Trust provide integrated services that place the needs of the carer and the people they care for at the heart of everything they do, supporting people across Coventry and Warwickshire. The board of trustees are looking for an exceptional individual who is eager to be part of the next exciting phase of the Charity’s development.
The new Chief Executive will need to be a visionary leader with entrepreneurial flair, focussed on delivering positive outcomes through the development and delivery of an organisational strategy. The new Chief Executive will be a people-person, instilling the positive culture of the organisation and motivating the team to achieve fantastic results and keeping the needs of carers and others affected by care issues at the centre of the organisations work and vision. The Chief Executive will be comfortable leading regulated services, with a working knowledge and experience of CQC within a health and social care context.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Clear and inspirational leadership and people management skills
Experience of successfully managing a large, multifunctional, geographically spread team at a senior level
Understanding of regulatory frameworks within the social and health care sector
Flair and engagement with supporters and internal and external stakeholders
Implement a positive and committed performance culture
Maintain the financial viability of the organisation
Prepare and deliver the strategic plan against agreed financial goals
Act as the Ambassador for the charity in the care sectors
The successful candidate will be an ambassador and champion for Carers, raising their issues locally, regionally, and nationally. You will be a confident presenter and have the skills to inspire and bring the issues of carers to audiences. You will have a sound understanding of the charity sector with a good working knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, e.g. Safeguarding and Health & Safety. You will show visionary qualities in your management style. A well-developed ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders is essential and you should be able to always demonstrate your empathy and enthusiasm for the work of the charity.
