Job Title: Community & Events Fundraiser

Salary:  £25,000 – £28,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Holidays: 29 Days (plus all Bank Holidays)

We are working in partnership with Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity (CMHC) which is a special place where people with life limiting illnesses, both in our Hospice and our community, are cared for by a team that delivers ‘over and above’ nursing and medical care, emotional and practical support, welfare advice, occupational and physiotherapy, complementary therapies, spiritual care and creative activities. The charity is now seeking to appoint a Community and Events Fundraiser who will generate income for the charity by achieving established annual income targets by managing, building and taking full responsibility for the community fundraising income stream.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of delivering successful events
  • Demonstrable success in developing and building income streams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to time and budget deadlines
  • Excellent financial and budget management experience
  • Experience of fundraising in the charitable sector or equivalent experience in another sector
  • Ability to build strong relationships and be able to manage and inspire groups of volunteers
  • Be able to work on your own as well as part of a team
  • Highly competent in IT, including Word, Excel, Outlook, email and the internet
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The post holder will need to be a flexible and adaptable individual with the ability to prioritise, and work under pressure to tight deadlines. You will be ambitious, innovative and tenacious, and will thrive on new challenges and enjoy inspiring and motivating others.
