We are working in partnership with The Fire Fighters Charity, who provide specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. They exist to support all fire and rescue service personnel, whatever their role in the service, including all those who have retired, as well as for spouses and qualifying dependents.
They are now seeking a Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to lead and manage the development and delivery of income growth from charity partnerships, including corporate accounts, new business development, trusts and foundations, high net value donors and legacies. The new postholder will be accountable for the delivery and completion of strategic plan projects within own area, contribute to the development and delivery of collaborative strategic projects, and proactively work towards the achievement of shared organisational and fundraising objectives.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
Experience of working in a fundraising environment and managing key fundraising projects.
Experience of corporate partnerships account management and new business development.
Knowledge of working with trusts and foundations and High Net Value donors.
Experience of managing a small team including objective setting and performance management.
Experience of setting and managing budgets.
Experience in managing key external relationships.
We are seeking an individual with outstanding communication and project management skills. Strong interpersonal, networking, influencing and presentation skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with high level decision makers is essential. Being flexible, positive, determined, and resilient, with a willingness to work flexible hours and travel as necessary throughout the UK is expected. Membership of the Institute of Fundraising would be advantageous.
