We are working in partnership with an international children’s charity, who are seeking to appoint a new Database Manager.Since 1994, they have been working to stop the institutionalisation of children. With 250 people, in ten countries, inspiring organisations, including the UN, EU and governments around the world, to close the doors of orphanages forever and for every child to feel the love and belonging of a safe family home. 

They are looking for an enthusiastic and talented professional who has an excellent understanding of how a fundraising database should work. You’ll manage and oversee the organisational use of their database (Raisers Edge NXT) and associated Blackbaud modules, as a critical tool in achieving the fundraising and supporter engagement objectives. 

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

·        Experience at leading the strategic development of the database

·        Proven responsibility for the maintenance and development of the database

·        Ability to set and maintain user standards, champion best practice, and provide end user provide training

·        Supporting fundraising and finance teams through analysis of data, provision of key information, data exports and reports

·        Proven experience of improving data quality / data cleansing to ensure optimum quality

The successful candidate will have good understanding of Data Protection, database good practice and the principles of database development and understand the different types of fundraising.You will have confident communication skills and ability to explain complex database functions to non-specialists.A good eye for detail and accuracy with the ability to work to deadlines and to build effective working relationships are all needed for this role.You’ll be joining a brave, can-do organisation, and an ambitious, collaborative and multi-skilled team.
