We are working in partnership with a mental health charity seeking their next Development Director.The charity’s primary role is to make sure that no adult in their local and surrounding area has to suffer from a mental illness alone. They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding until everyone experiencing a mental health.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who will thrive on developing and managing a diverse fundraising strategy to generate income from a broad range of sources to further their vital work and will demonstrate:

  • Experience of Implementing, managing, and delivering new projects that align with the charity’s strategic aims

  • Identifying opportunities to work with partners across the area who can help fulfil the objectives and aims of the Charity

  • Overseeing key partnerships with stakeholders such as the Integrated Care Partnership, County Council, local borough Councils, NHS partners and other voluntary sector partners

  • Experience of working to targets; regularly review income generated, budget preparation and management for grant application

  • Project manage large scale projects for which the charity receives funding for such as the co-op resilience fund in Sheerwater

Reporting into the CEO, this is an exciting post to support the strategic aims of the charity. You will be experienced in external relationship management, project management and have some experience of working in the health care sector. This role will be responsible for assessing new opportunities and to identify areas the organisation can develop to meet its strategic aims. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, including empathy with people with a mental health condition.
