We are supporting Basingstoke Counselling Service, who were founded in 1985 by a small group of local therapists wanting to provide mental health support to the local community. Since then, the Service has flourished to become a busy, vibrant counselling and training centre dedicated to improving the emotional wellbeing of the community.  

The charity is now seeking a Diploma Course Manager to manage the efficient and effective delivery of BCS’s three-year BACP Accredited Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. Part of this role is to be an active member of the training team, which encompasses teaching academic seminars and counselling skills.You’ll be joining at an exciting time as the charity seeks to expand its services and offering to the local community.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Experienced counsellor/psychotherapist ideally in current practice

  • Psychodynamically trained or have a good knowledge of the psychodynamic model

  • Experience of teaching students or training others

  • Good ethical practice and high standards of practice

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

You will be a collaborative and co-operative manager, able to deliver the high quality and robust nature of BCS’s training.You’ll be ambitious and able to help develop the offering of the charity.
