Hours: Part-time – 4 days a week
We are working in partnership with an animal charity, who are seeking a new Finance and Administration Manager. The charity has been caring for the city’s pets and wildlife since 1887, helping, healing and homing vulnerable animals each year. They are committed to preventing cruelty and promoting kindness to animals - aiming to reduce animal suffering and increase animal wellbeing as much as possible.
The new Finance and Administration Manager is a key member of the Senior Management Team with a central role in the development and delivery of all financial operations. Working closely with the CEO and senior Trustees to ensure delivery of all internal financial systems and processes, providing clear financial analysis, reports and support to all teams and retail operations. The additional responsibilities are the running of the site as a whole and health and safety.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Fully qualified accountant (desirable) with at least 3 years practical experience in similar role or CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified with at least 5 years similar experience
Experience of working at senior level developing systems and processes to provide solutions.
Proven experience of producing and presenting budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and other financial reports.
Understanding of the voluntary sector and SORP regime.
The successful candidate will have the ability to drive the next stage of development of financial planning across all operations. This will mean close working with Senior Management colleagues and therefore requires excellent personal communication skills as well as the ability to sustain momentum across a range of initiatives.You will have outstanding people skills, able to use emotional intelligence to engage positively with and motivate a range of personalities individually and in groups.Strong team player with a can-do approach, assisting management colleagues to resolve constraints and challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to make financial information accessible and understandable for non-financial audiences
