We are working in partnership with Fields in Trust, an organisation that protects and champions parks and green spaces in perpetuity across the UK. Established in 1925, they passionately believe parks and green spaces are the beating hearts of our communities, with transformational powers to promote health and wellbeing, social cohesion, and happiness. They work in partnership with landowners to protect their green spaces for good, and champion and protect our green future at local, national, and devolved level.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the postholder will work as part of the Finance and Administration team providing key support to both the Finance Manager and the Chief Executive. The role will ensure excellent and accurate financial accounting records are maintained alongside wider administrative support for the Chief Executive and efficient office management.

 The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate: 

  • AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW/CIPFA part qualified

  • Proficiency in sales and purchase ledger duties

  • Familiarity with small business accounting software (preferably SAGE 50 accounts)

  • Experience of diary management and meeting facilitation

  • Ability to develop and manage multiple relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Good computer literacy, including competency in Microsoft Office, Zoom/Microsoft Teams, and the ability to be self-supporting.

We are seeking an individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to take accurate minutes, with strong organisational skills and the capability to manage multiple pieces of work with meticulous attention to detail.
