Location: London – 2 days in the office

We are working in partnership with a charity who area voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Supported by dedicated and experienced staff, their volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.  

They charity have secured funding to expand enabling them to deliver support to families in Islington. They are now seeking a Funding Manager who will part of the senior management team and responsible for securing funding and maintaining relationships with funders. The role is responsible for building partnerships and supporting the CEO and board in developing and delivering the organisation’s strategy.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Understanding of funding requirements including experience of successfully securing funding from a range of sources

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and able to present information and data effectively and persuasively in a range of formats and to a range of stakeholders

  • Experience of successful project management and reporting

  • Good understanding of budgeting, funding and finance within the charity sector

  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to spot trends and anomalies 

  • Able to prioritise and manage a varied workload, working to tight deadlines 

The new Funding Manager will have a track record of delivering results through excellent organisational skills and a strong track record of securing funding from a range of charitable trusts and major grant funders such as the Big Lottery.  The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, be self-motivated, results focussed and have a continuous improvement mind-set to enhance the charity’s internal processes and procedures. You will be able to collaborate and work as part of a team and the ability to generate income and manage funding relationships is essential.
