We are working in partnership with a UK youth development charity, which supports 11-25-year-olds who are facing challenges in their everyday lives in both education and community settings. The organisation equips young people with the positive behaviours and mindset to tackle the disadvantage they face due to inequality in their everyday lives. This improves their wellbeing, helps them build healthy relationships and unlocks the confidence, self-esteem and resilience to achieve in education, work and life.
They are now seeking a Fundraising and Events Officer, to play an integral role in their exciting plans to diversify and increase income over the next 3 years. The postholder will have the opportunity to pitch to and account manage new corporate partners, be part of a team driving forward a major challenge event, lead on their School Fundraising programme, and be integral to the introduction of high net-worth individual fundraising and events.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
Experience of income generation or fundraising, ideally in an events or corporate fundraising setting.
Experience of using interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills to develop relationships and partnerships.
Experience of managing a budget and achieving agreed income targets.
Excellent project management skills (accuracy, attention to detail, scheduling, problem solving and monitoring).
We are seeking an enthusiastic team player with a keen interest in developing a career in charity fundraising. The ability to tailor oral and written communications for intended audiences, adopting a variety of styles, and listening to, influencing, and persuading others is essential.
