We are working in partnership with an East London homelessness charity, whose mission is to build hope, enable lasting change, and end homelessness for people in East London. They help people in the local community by providing safe places to stay, offering support, through the provision of personalised educational and life skills opportunities and by building resilience.

They are now seeking a Fundraising Officer to develop community fundraising, as well as support individual giving income for the charity. This role will also play a key role in acquiring and stewarding supporters, including individuals taking part in challenge events, community clubs and associations, schools and faith groups, as well as one-off and regular donors, and legacy pledgers. They will ensure an excellent supporter experience, so that both existing and prospective donors feel valued and informed about the impact our supporters are making.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working in fundraising environment, preferably community fundraising

  • Confident public speaker with the ability to deliver engaging presentations

  • Experience of using a supporter database/CRM

  • Understanding of the principles of supporter care and passion for delighting supporters

  • Strong planning and organisational skills

  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate fundraising activity
