We are working in partnership with Pecan, a highly respected and dynamic Christian charity.Their work is founded on their mission, vision and values, and they are committed to showing kindness, raising self-belief and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals they serve. The overall aim of Pecan’s Women’s Services is supporting women affected by the criminal justice system and/or multiple disadvantages in Southwark and Lewisham.
Pecan are now seeking a Fundraising Officer, to generate the income needed for the team to provide the trauma informed support needed to transform lives. The new postholder will develop relationships and identify new donors and potential supporter bases for the Women’s Service. Focus will be on individual giving, corporate support and community and events fundraising.
The successful individual will be able to demonstrate the following:
Fundraising experience, preferably from a community fundraising / individual giving role
Ability to develop and manage supporter journeys through acquisition, retention and development
Experience planning and managing fundraising activity across email, social media, and websites
Experience using a fundraising CRM
Knowledge of digital and communication tools for fundraising (e.g. Just Giving, Enthuse, Virgin Money Giving, Mailchimp etc.) would be advantageous
We are seeking a self-motivated individual, with the ability to work under pressure. A problem-solving approach will be essential, as will a passion for equality and social justice and commitment to the goals, ethos, values, and vision of Pecan.
