We are working in partnership with the Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust. The Charitable Trust supports the Hospice within the grounds of Andover War Memorial Hospital. The hospice provides outstanding specialist care for people with life-limiting illness living in Andover, Stockbridge and the surrounding villages.

The charitable trust is looking to appoint a new Head of Community Fundraising and Communications. Reporting into the Hospice Director, the role will maximise income generation from events, community fundraising, retail, and digital activities to achieve agreed fundraising targets, and provide the administration for these activities.

Responsibilities of the post holder will:

  • develop, deliver and promote a community events programme - face to face and virtual

  • be experienced in developing, promoting, and supporting individual and community fundraising

  • manage and co-ordinate volunteers to support fundraising

  • maximise income from the sale of a range of retail products

  • write and create communications and marketing materials to promote and celebrate fundraising opportunities and raise awareness through website, digital and social media, print, and press aiming to reach current and new audiences and increase the number of supporters

  • provide comprehensive, effective, and efficient data administration including the recording, processing, and stewardship of income from individuals, community, events and retail, reporting results and validating data

The Head of Community Fundraising and Communications is a vital new role as the charity restructures priorities for the future. The successful applicant will deliver the communications strategy to promote and celebrate support for the work of the Hospice and the Charity. You will be experienced at growing income, developing, and delivering successful communications and copy writing and producing online content for a variety of audiences.
