We are working in partnership with an East London homelessness charity, whose mission is to build hope, enable lasting change, and end homelessness for people in East London. They help people in the local community by providing safe places to stay, offering support, through the provision of personalised educational and life skills opportunities and by building resilience.
They are now seeking an Individual Giving and Legacy Specialist to lead the organisation’s major donor, individual giving and legacy fundraising, with a focus on maximising income. The postholder will also be responsible for developing donor journeys for their existing and new supporters ensuring that donors feel valued and informed about the impact they are making. Developing and implementing strategies to significantly increase income and other support from these areas, in-line with overall fundraising targets, and preparing donor data analysis and income monitoring reports is also expected.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
Experience working on an individual giving programme, including supporter care - acquisition and retention.
Experience of running direct mail and regular giving campaigns.
Experience of developing existing income streams and developing new fundraising initiatives.
Experience of using a CRM system or database within a fundraising environment.
Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice for individual giving and legacy fundraising including Gift Aid and data protection.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, with experience of legacy fundraising is desirable but not essential.
We are seeking an individual with the ability to build strong working relationships with supporters of all levels, and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
