  • Job Ref: JO3010

We are working in partnership with a long-established charity, which enables families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness to make the most of their time together, by providing expert, practical and emotional support.

We are seeking a Philanthropy Fundraiser who will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals and trusts to raise the funds needed to deliver services. Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the postholder will have the autonomy to develop own ways of working and manage the Major Funder programme.

This is fantastic opportunity for individuals already in the sector, but we are also keen to speak to candidates who have worked in busy environments, who have experience building relationships with clients or stakeholders, and who are ready to move into the charity sector and make a difference to people’s lives.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

·        Experience of cultivating long lasting relationships – working with high-net-worth individuals and/or trusts and foundations is desired.

·        Experience of prospect management and stewardship.

·        Experience of securing new funds and/or donors.

·        Experience of research mechanisms for identifying prospective funders and high net worth individuals.

We are seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic individual, who is a confident and persuasive communicator, both verbal and written. The ability to connect with others and build strong relationships is essential. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this post. As a CQC registered organisation, it is an expectation that all employees are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (unless medically exempt).
