We are working in partnership with Fields in Trust, an organisation that protects and champions parks and green spaces in perpetuity across the UK. Established in 1925, they passionately believe parks and green spaces are the beating hearts of our communities, with transformational powers to promote health and wellbeing, social cohesion, and happiness. They work in partnership with landowners to protect their green spaces for good, and champion and protect our green future at local, national, and devolved level.
Reporting to the Head of Projects and Stewardship, the postholder will work as part of the Projects and Stewardship team, providing a central project management resource to support the successful delivery of their parks and green space protection portfolios. This role will manage the smaller-scale protections portfolio and individual projects, and oversee the effective monitoring and delivery of the strategic portfolios through designing and implementing a suitable PMO and project tools.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
Minimum of two years’ experience in projects or programmes
Knowledge of different types of research and insight capture methods and strong excel skills
Experience of leading on successful projects and programmes from concept to evaluation, on time and budget
Experience of creating and embedding processes/templates to facilitate complex programmes and delivery improvements
Ability to build evaluation frameworks for project lifecycles and monitoring against strategic objectives
Ability to train and lead people through workshops, presentations co-design and collaborative testing
Project management qualification, e.g. Prince 2, Agile/Sprint/Scrum is desired
We are seeking an individual with great people skills, able to robustly manage partner/stakeholder relationships, and invite engagement with new strategic contacts. Excellent organisational skills, and ability to organise multiple pieces of work with meticulous attention to detail is essential.
