We are working in partnership with the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury. They deliver rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families.
They are seeking a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their nursing team, providing expertise and knowledge in the management of non-invasive and long term ventilatory support and tracheostomy care. The postholder will report to the Lead Nurse for Respiratory and will act as a clinical expert in respiratory management, providing specialist information, advice, and resource. The organisation aims to grow the numbers of complex respiratory children and young people they care for, so this is a chance for an outstanding candidate to make a significant and lasting difference to the lives of many children, young people and their families.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
NMC Registered Nurse (Child branch) and a Degree (BSc) or equivalent, in a health-related subject.
Minimum of 4 years post registration experience.
Experience of working with complex respiratory needs, including experience with non-invasive and invasive ventilation.
Experience of effective partnership working with internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of clinical governance and risk assessment, as well as safeguarding.
