We are working in partnership with a leading humanitarian charity delivering information services and products to help humanitarian responders in disasters and conflicts. Their information helps responders understand vulnerabilities and target their response effectively, contributing to saving lives and minimising suffering. Their aim is to create software that can automate data-related workflows, making data processing easier and more accessible for them and their partners.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to achieve efficiencies in IT systems to support all of the organisation’s business functions. The postholder will be responsible for the management of systems and the development of automation and integration of processes for these systems. Sitting within a small team reporting to a Technical Director and working alongside a Head of Technical Development and IT Systems Administrator, the postholder will also work closely with the organisation’s volunteer-led Technical Development Circle and Software Development Circle.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience using/exposure to:
· Cloud infrastructure management (Linode, Cloudflare, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
· Linux administration
· Configuration management (using any of: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or other)
· Scripting (using Python, Powershell or other)
