​We are working in partnership with Cogges Heritage Trust, the charity which cares for and runs Cogges Manor Farm, a unique historic site in Witney, West Oxfordshire. The charity’s purpose is to preserve, protect, develop and improve the archaeological, historical, architectural and environmental heritage of the site of Cogges Manor Farm and associated land for the benefit of the people of the County of Oxfordshire and the wider members of the public.

Cogges Heritage Trust is now seeking to appoint 3 Trustees to its well-established Board of Trustees, some of whom will be retiring during the next 12 months. The Board provide collective governance leadership of the organisation in support of its charitable objects. Trustees will play a key role in setting the strategic direction of the organisation and overall policy, defining goals, establishing targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.

They are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to be part of the next exciting phase of Cogges’ development. You will share their passion for making the Farm relevant and rewarding to a wide range of audiences, and be willing to challenge and bring fresh thinking, new ideas and entrepreneurial qualities to enable Cogges to get better and better.

Trustees should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Financial Management, Community Programming, Fundraising, Marketing, Heritage Sector, Horticulture, Environment, Events, HR, Health & Safety, Heritage Conservation, Volunteering, Business Development, Farming & Animal Welfare and/or Digital

The Trustees should be able to commit themselves to six Board and six sub-Committee meetings per annum. Board members will serve on a voluntary basis.
