We are working in partnership with a long-established charity, which enables families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness to make the most of their time together, by providing expert, practical and emotional support.

We are seeking a Trusts Fundraiser, to cover a period of maternity leave, who will work closely with the Philanthropy Manager to drive the Trusts & Foundations fundraising programme. You will cultivate strong working relationships with a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters, increasing their engagement and support of the charity, through reports, meetings, and phone calls. Through the identification and research of new prospective trust funders, you will develop and submit high-quality and compelling funding proposals. The charity has an established portfolio of funders, giving low level gifts to six figure donations and the postholder will have the opportunity to work on large applications.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of Trust fundraising or a similar role

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Experience of project reporting

  • Experience of managing and developing relationships, including communicating with donors on the phone, face to face and in writing

We are seeking an individual with excellent written and verbal skills, who is able to work accurately within established standards and guidelines. Being a multi-tasker and a collaborative decision maker supporting established policies and procedures is essential. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this post. As a CQC registered organisation, it is an expectation that all employees are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (unless medically exempt).

For more information, please contact Katherine Anderson-Scott, Charisma Charity Recruitment, or 01962 813300.

Your application should be submitted through the Charisma website and include your CV and supporting statement.

Closing date for applications: 29th August, however, applications are being reviewed and interviews are being conducted on a rolling basis, so please apply without delay to avoid disappointment.
