Trusts and Major Donor Manager

A Charity supporting vulnerable people across the regions of Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex have a fantastic opportunity for a Trusts and Major Donor Fundraiser to join their team.

This role would be perfect for a fundraiser with some experience, looking to take that next step into a role with more responsibility.

You could also be a more experienced fundraiser/manager looking for something fresh and exciting, with an opportunity to grow and develop your skills with a forward-thinking organisation that demonstrates a clear strategic focus.

Working with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will have responsibility for developing and maintaining links between the charity and grant giving trusts, foundations, livery companies and local authority funders.

You will also be developing relationships with high net worth individuals, and taking responsibility for identifying and maximising income through targeted applications and approaches.

As your role evolves, you will have an opportunity to recruit and manage a graduate trainee, intern or similar, and your role will be instrumental in enabling the charity to develop a highly effective and skilled fundraising and communications team.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in securing funds from Trusts and/or Major Donors
  • Proven experience in researching Trusts and Individuals
  • The ability to write a compelling case for support, make fundraising applications and provide excellent donor stewardship
  • Experience of using and maintaining a fundraising database.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
