An exciting opportunity has risen for a driven and experienced fundraiser. The postholder will be responsible for the leadership and development of the fundraising team, fostering a high-performing and motivated environment. Evaluating current fundraising initiatives to ensure an effective balance between long term activities and driving immediate income, analysing income streams to manage performance, growth and ROI and scoping opportunities to capitalise on existing income streams and develop actionable plans to diverse and grow fundraised income will be strong focus of this role. The Director will also take personal responsibility for major donors and cultivating and negotiating high value and/or high-profile fundraising partnerships.

We are delighted to be working with Restore, an Oxfordshire-based charity that has been offering employment support to people with mental ill-health since 1977. Restore supports people - through recovery groups, coaching and learning - to take control of their own recovery, develop skills, and progress towards their own goals to live more fulfilling lives. It works within the community to increase knowledge, awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental ill health. Restore is also home to the Oxfordshire Recovery College for therapeutic peer learning and is an expert provider of formal mental health training.

Restore are now seeking to appoint a Treasurer, along with additional Trustees to join the Board to support the organisation to achieve its goals. They will have a strategic role ensuring that the organisation complies with its purpose, charity law and company law and that the organisation pursues its objectives as defined in its governing document.

The Treasurer will have relevant accounting/finance experience to oversee all financial aspects of Restore, on behalf of the Board, to ensure its short and long-term sustainability. They will partner with the CEO and Head of Finance and Administration, along with chairing the Finance sub-committee to ensure that Restore operates within the financial guidelines set out in current legislation, by the charity commission and in Restore’s governing document.

The Trustees Restore is keen to talk to will have specialist skills and experience in one of the following areas:

• Senior safeguarding experience
• Clinical expertise in mental health 

Aside from specialist skills, the successful candidates will need excellent communication skills with great leadership qualities, the ability to confidently lead the Board, promote a collaborative team, deliver the vision of the charity and bring people together.

Time Commitments:

Meetings are currently hybrid, where attendance can be in person or online. Restore are aware that people who are working full-time or have family/other responsibilities may not always be able to travel to the meetings in person. It is important that Trustees are able to visit services, attend at least some meetings in person and have a connection with the community to which we deliver services. With this in mind, it’s unlikely that you will be based outside of Oxfordshire and its surrounding counties.

The Chair will lead the Board of Trustees and work closely with the charity’s CEO and Executive Team to achieve its goals. The Chair will also ensure that the Board functions properly and that effective decisions are made and implemented. The Chair, alongside the CEO, acts as a spokesperson and advocate for the organisation.

The successful candidate is likely to have Board experience as a Chair or Deputy Chair although you may have been a Trustee for some years and now be looking for your next step. We are working in partnership with Doorstep Library, a community-focused literacy charity dedicated to bringing the gift of books and the joy of reading into the homes of families across London. With one in four 11-year-olds leaving primary school unable to read or write properly, the charity introduces young children (aged 0-11 years) to the pleasure and benefits of reading.

Their work is concentrated in areas where opportunities for reading are restricted – there may be limited access to books in the home or language barriers may be preventing parents or carers from being able to provide additional reading support to the children in their care. Their unique home-based service, whether in person or online, brings books to fuel children’s natural love of stories, fire their imaginations, and encourage their appreciation of reading. Their goal is to help each child develop the self-confidence and essential skills they need to access all the opportunities that will come their way in life. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an agile and creative Fundraising Manager. Supported by a Fundraising Officer, the new Fundraising Manager will be an astute fundraiser, able to make and develop relationships with stakeholders and manage funding portfolios, including maintaining and developing a robust pipeline of trusts and foundations, but also diversifying income through new partnerships and donor cultivation and stewardship.

Connect: North Korea are actively developing their Board and are now seeking a Treasurer to help continue their growth from a small community start-up into a high-impact, well-renowned, and sustainable international organisation. The Treasurer will join a collaborative and ambitious team and will be responsible for providing strategic support related to financial management and overseeing robust financial processes and governance for continued growth. Individuals are sought who have a strong to commitment to social and racial justice. 

Successful candidates must also be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum of 3 years in a senior finance role.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of refugee support and charity governance, and/or lived experience of migration is desired, although not essential. 

The Treasurer can serve for an initial term of three years and will have the opportunity to be re-appointed for a second term (maximum of six years). Board meetings are held four times a year in addition to an away day and sub-committee meetings. All reasonable expenses will be covered by the charity. We anticipate a 2–3-hour monthly time commitment.

We are delighted to partner with Southmead Hospital Charity an NHS charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients and staff at Southmead Hospital and who are seeking an experienced Individual Giving and Corporate Partnerships Manager to deliver a programme of individual giving and corporate fundraising to increase activity and income. Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising. 

With line management of the Corporate Partnerships Officer to ensure income targets are met, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to develop strategies for growth and collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Lead to create fundraising programmes that drive new donor acquisition; deliver enhanced stewardship and develop engaging appeals such as a Christmas direct mail initiative.

You will demonstrate:

• Proven track record of achieving fundraising income targets and delivering successful campaigns and appeals.
• A strategic, organised approach with ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Excellent line management and effective leadership to achieve success.
• Experience of face-to-face fundraising with donors at all levels and specialist networking skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, individual donors, corporate partners, senior teams and volunteers

The CEO (Clerk to the Corporation) will ensure the smooth running of the Charity, enabling it to meet its aims and objectives and comply with relevant law and regulations.  The successful candidate will be the main contact for external agencies such as, solicitors, auditors, bankers and investments managers, insurance brokers and local authorities, as necessary, as well as the main internal contact between the Trustees and the other staff and residents.

The successful candidate will advise the Trustees on matters of governance to ensure compliance with current legislation and Charity Commission guidance.  You will arrange and attend Trustee Board and subcommittee meetings both preparing the agendas and taking accurate minutes, acting upon the decisions of the Trustees.  You will also be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of a small team, identifying any training needs and ensure their wellbeing.  Awareness of the welfare of residents overseeing community engagement and social activities, dealing with safeguarding issues, grievances and arrears, when required.  Oversee the repair and maintenance of all the Charity’s properties, engaging with commercial tenants and others as necessary.

As London Church Engagement Manager you’ll collaborate closely with the ministries and training departments, engaging in inspiring conversations with churches about the financial aspects of church partnerships. Plus, you’ll connect churches with a missionary, fostering strong and lasting relationships with LCM.
