Philanthropy Manager - CAFOD London

Job Title: Philanthropy Manager (Interim or Permanent) Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week. Part-time considered for the right candidate. Contract: Interim Salary: c. ?45,455 - ?47,272 (dependent on experience) Location: London ??Hybrid (In office at least twice a month) We are excited to be working in partnership with CAFOD, the Catholic aid agency for England and Wales. CAFOD works with partners in more than 40 countries, bringing hope, compassion and solidarity to struggling communities, standing alongside them to end poverty and injustice. CAFOD works for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world, alongside people of all faiths and none. CAFOD are seeking an Interim or Permanent Philanthropy Manager to join the Major Gifts and Philanthropy section. The Philanthropy Manager will have knowledge of high value major gifts principles and experience of this form of philanthropic giving. They will be responsible for strategic and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Ensuring the team meets and ideally exceeds the annual targets through an innovative, ambitious, donor centric approach to major donor fundraising. This role also works alongside the Every Second Count Appeal. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate: ? Experience of securing 6 and 7 level gifts, with the ability to train and inspire others within the team and beyond to do the same Experience of developing and implementing major donor strategic and operational plans Ability to develop trusted relationships with national and international major gift prospects, ensuring they receive a highly personalised, bespoke donor journey Ability to interrogate income figures and interpret date to achieve income growth Leadership skills, with experience of holding 1:1 meetings, creating development plans, reviewing performance and training staff Ability to be supportive in other fundraising functions, including fundraising events, major donor development, legacy communication, and marketing plans We are looking for a result driven inspiring leader who can passionately represent CAFOD and manage a small team. You will be an excellent communicator both verbally and written. You will be organised, strategic and a team player. You will have some knowledge and be sympathetic to the Catholic faith and have an understanding of international development.
