Following her undergraduate studies at the University of Bristol and obtaining her Masters degree from UCL, both in art and archaeology, Katherine has worked in senior positions for the past twelve years, in the charity and commercial sectors. Before joining Charisma, Katherine served on the senior leadership team of an arts and education charity dedicated to engaging young people in the performing arts, and preserving and future-proofing the Grade II listed building that housed the charity.
Katherine was previously a Tour Manager for an international travel company specialising in heritage educational tours and is the former Area Sales Manager for the UK's largest, independent art gallery group. In all of these roles, people have been at the core. From clients and stakeholders to employees, Katherine has been at the heart of the organisation addressing their business needs, and introducing new strategies to reshape and diversify income, through fundraising, commercial innovation and creative direction.
As Executive Director at Charisma, Katherine is responsible for leading and project managing recruitment campaigns across CEO, SLT, and chair and trustee placements.
Katherine also serves as a trustee for the Suffolk Preservation Society, a heritage organisation dedicated to protecting the character and environment of Suffolk.
With her background and passion for arts and heritage, Katherine heads up our arts, heritage and culture portfolio, which has seen her successfully represent senior appointments with British Motor Museum, Smallpeice Trust, Anvil Arts, Imperial War Museums, Royal Life Saving Society UK, The Tank Museum, Marwell Zoo, Society of Genealogists, Royal Museums Greenwich, RAF Museum, English Touring Opera, Whitchurch Silk Mill, The Haberdasher's Company, Salisbury Museum, Bridport Museum Trust, Rich Mix Arts, and New Forest Heritage Trust.
Katherine is based in Suffolk, travelling across the country as needed for client visits. She spends her non-working time dedicated to restoring the 16th century timber-framed home she shares with her husband, visiting places of historic interest, antiquing and doting on her rescue cat!
