Sandra has been a recruitment specialist for almost 30 years and has gained vital experience in all aspects of search and selection. Beginning as a trainee consultant Sandra was quickly promoted and soon headhunted to open a new office, starting from a blank canvas and building a team, candidate and client base. Sandra had the pleasure of working in partnership with Johnson and Johnson, IBM, Sony and Lloyds Bank. Based on the clients' sites, Sandra was responsible for managing recruitment, onboarding, leading a team and working directly with senior hiring managers across multiple sites, delivering recruitment support and all aspects of HR.

Sandra originally joined Charisma in 2014 as Senior Consultant, successfully placing candidates with charities before spending five years in the care sector. During this time, she promoted the care home by building relationships with families, the local community and professional partnerships, and supporting on all non-clinical issues. Sandra found a connection with the elderly through her role and with supporting her own parents through their dementia journey.

Sandra also has personal experience in supporting a loved one with their mental health and has a deep understanding of the challenges and the impact on individuals and families. This lived and professional experience has given Sandra a passion for supporting mental health, the elderly, health and social care and disabilities.

Sandra re-joined Charisma in 2021 recruiting for senior level roles within the charity, care, mental health, disability, youth and vulnerable specialisms. With a deep understanding of the needs in this area of the charity sector, she has the pleasure of supporting various Minds, Age UKs and Emmaus across the UK, the Almshouse Association, and specialist disability charities. She has also worked on very complex, high profile Chair roles for the Church of England on safeguarding and social justice.

Sandra is originally from Buckinghamshire, but is now settled in her converted barn close to Stonehenge. Away from work Sandra enjoys being bossed around by her granddaughters, walking the legs off her dog across the Plains, and going to the gym on a regular basis. She is also studying to be a yoga teacher, and is an elected Parish Councillor.
